If you want menu-based configuration, just run&lt;br /&gt;

or for automation reasons:&lt;br /&gt;
1) If you need all drivers, provided by lirc&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-driver=all&lt;br /&gt;
 make&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2) Run&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 ./configure --help&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
and choose a driver(s), you want.&lt;br /&gt;
After for example run (serial port chosen):&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-driver=serial&lt;br /&gt;
 make&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Install the package&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 make install&lt;br /&gt;
